“pleasant experience on 4 Sep 2013”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

For 3000Ft I enjoyed (5hrs) the warmer swimming pool (there are two, both require a swim cap), saunas (dry, steam, and finnish), jacuzzi type of pool, thermal baths (24 to 40 degrees Celcius). There are drinking water points in the thermal baths section.
There was a girl in the reception (speaking English) that showed me around.

“Okay place to sample but a been there - done that experience”

The baths are a little difficult to find. You need to enter through the Szent Lucacs Gryogyfurdo medical facility. I think if you need medical care, it could be interesting. But I was there to try the bath. The fee was 3000ft to get in. I had a cap but you can buy a cheap plastic shower cap (same kind in your hotel) for 100 or buy a more expensive one for 1000. The 3000 gets you into the two cold swimming pools and the one warm one with bubbles and two water downpours (best way to describe i guess) that you can stand under and sort of massage your muscles if you can get in (crowded). You need a cap in the swimming pools. There is a steam sauna you can use...included in the 3000 and a cold plunge (walk in sort of) pool to cool off. Not enough chairs if much of a crowd. Wanted to try a massage but got there at about 1645 and was told all booked...but when i went by the rooms there wasn't anyone in them. English is not spoken well there and there are no signs. It is okay not to rent a cabin....a locker is included in your 3000 and as long as you don't have alot of stuff (small backpack and your clothes) you can fit it in there. I try to make my reviews useful and TRUE...so a big hint I dont see in other reviews...bring your shower shoes (flip flops or whatever) and your own towel. Otherwise you rent a towel for 1000 and pay 4000 deposit which you get back. All in all...fairly clean and I can say, "I did that." Total time there was 1.5 hrs and that was plenty. Also it is coed and everyone in suits. Not sure kid friendly...and didn't see any. On the way out you can also drink a mug of mineral water (warm) at the entrance. Costs 40FT.....it didn't make the hair on my head grow and it did make me burp...and since i couldnt read the signs i am not sure what miracle cures it offers....but i did that too!

“Very relaxing”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

We researched all the baths in Budapest and chose Lucaks because it was one of the cheapest and within walking distance to our hostel. It was 3000ft (about €12) for entrave and a locker. We came on a scorching hot day and ended up staying for 6 hours. There are 2 pools which you have to wear a swimming cap for two of the pools so we stayed in the one which you didn't as we didn't have caps. The only downside is you have to pay extra for the sauna. There were jets and bubbles and all sorts, it was great to experience the baths and we really enjoyed it! :)

“Free admission with the Budapest travel card!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Easy to get to on the tram or bus. Directions in the Budapest travel card brochure. Bring your own towel. You must have a shower cap to use the swimming pools (but not required for the spa, steam room, etc)

“Perfect on a hot day :)”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

So so cheap! we payed 6000 HUF (£17.00) (20 Euros) and stayed the day. There was two open air swimming pools, a large bubble pool, saunas steamrooms solariums, thermal spas all included in the price. there was food available at an extra price. A way to stay cool in the heat. lockers were free but if you wanted a cabin that was an extra price..the cabin was so not needed .
