Gets very crowded at times. Plenty of facilities and a pleasurable way to relax for a couple of hours. I'd recommend it but only if you have the time.

It is a place with its own atmosphere - you can see people casually playing chess in the pool, a bachelorette party and families enjoying their weekend. The complex offers indoor and outdoor pools with different water temperature, as well as a wide range of spa-treatments. You can use a locker or a private changing cabin where you can store your belongings. There is also an outdoor safety box for phones, wallets, earrings etc.
Once you enter the baths, you can enjoy a very different type of architecture; as for outside, the yellow walls of the building nicely contrast with blue water.

The main advice: arrive as EARLY as you can. By 11am on Sunday it gets really crowded.

The Szechenyi complex of 18 baths is breathtaking, not only because of the size of it both also off the beauty of the surrounding.
It is an experience that no visitor of the city should miss.
The hot spring water attracts people of all walks of life, and is really a social hotspot of the town. A must see and must do.

We went in February and it was really nice. On a weekday it wasn't very busy, it's a great and relaxing experience to sit in a warm outdoor pool when it's cold outside! :) The building is beautiful, although a bit old at some spots.

With a friend of mine, I went to Szechenyi Baths in very early morning and I spent some couple of hours here, moving from pool to pool whilst dipping in and out of the sauna and steam rooms.
In the eerly morning, there were a lot of hungarian people, elderly people and just a few tourists...luckly.
The outside pool is great with a kind of tidal which sweeps you round in a circle and you can move/swim.
Moreover there is a quite big swimming pool where you can swim safety but be aware that you will a swimming cap to swim there.
Personally, I found all the structure clean and tidy.
Please, make sure you bring your flip flops and a towel.
You can enjoy the entire experience for just £15/17.
Definitely worthy!
