Amazing and fun place. Clean and big variety of thermal pools indoor and outdoor and saunas. It's a must to see in Budapest

No other words to describe. We were fortunate to have a brilliantly sunny and warm day in February but the pools were great.

Please please try the Thermal Beer Spa

The baths were a lovely rest day from all the walking we had done in Budapest. Pretty easy to get to and easy getting in and out. The baths were busy but not so busy that you couldn’t enjoy your time there. We brought our own towels because friends had mentioned that they are expensive to rent but what we didn’t realise we needed was flip flops/ slippers, so we then had to rent these and these were unnecessarily over priced so remember to take your own! Over all good experience with plenty of different rooms to explore. Just remember a towel and flip flops!

So okay, I think you should to see it because it's part of Budapest history but firstly its dirty DIRTY its crowded, the changing rooms are covered in graffiti. It's a shared men and women's changing room and none of the doors lock so you have to go in couples and someone get changed while the other holds the door. And this was every changing room!!
When you walk through the ancient indoor baths it's old mahogany styling is quite impressive but the rusty showers somehow don't make it onto the website or social media...hmm I wonder why?
The outdoor pool is okay. But once you get into the water then what...theres no space to move and its crowded and to be honest it's just a bit meh! There is no music. No atmosphere. To be honest its listed as a top tourist attraction for Budapest but it's only because they know tourists will pay.. it's not as special as your imagination will tell you it is before you get there.
We payed for our tickets at 3.30PM & were out and dried + changed by 4PM.

To be honest, I didn’t expect much from Szechenyi baths. But I was mistaken. We really loved the place. Plenty of pools, most of them warm and relaxing, both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors there are 3 pools: one with warm water (+34 in winter), hot pool (+38 in winter) and a swimming pool (+28 in winter). For swimming pool you will need a swimming cap, otherwise they won’t let you in. Everything is well organized: cabins for your things are locked and opened with a special bracelet, if you come in a couple you can use one cabin together. You can easily move from one pool to another, and for outdoors pools you don’t have time to get cold in winter, everything is very close. There are plenty of showers and toilette rooms, there are several saunas of different types. We spent there about 4 hours in a fully relaxed atmosphere. If ever in Budapest, I’d love to come there again.
