Went there with my wife and college aged son. We had a great time. The amazing outdoor pool is one of a kind, with people from all over there. Fun, and at times a bit rowdy in the whirlpool area, it was definitely a must do for us and would recommend to others. All ages of adults were enjoying. Inside were more baths, pools, and saunas of all types and temperature than I could count, but we tried all of them I think. Again can be a bit crowded depending on-when you go, but we made it work for us. All in all we spent over 3 hours there start to finish.

We also went to the Rudas baths, which were enjoyable for much different reasons, if you only have time for one baths visit, do Szechenyi.

Tips: bring a towel and flip flops from hotel/Airbnb with you, lockers are free or you can pay for a small room for your group (we used lockers). There are many bathrooms so if the ones are full in the locker area, just go into the main baths area and you won’t have to wait. Get a map of the baths layout before you go in and keep it with you it helps to decide where you want to go. You’ll need money if you want something to drink other than water or if you want the upgrade to a beer bath. Try everything, they have temperatures on most of the baths so you can decide if you want to skip very warm or too cool ones.

The place is big and has got many pools and saunas. However, all of them were too busy to really fully enjoy the experience indoors.

Showers are dark and don’t smell very well.

Hair dryers are very low power.

Important: People DO steal towels. Bring a colourful one to make this more difficult to happen. We got stolen 2 white towels at different moments of the evening.

It is full of young people from 19 to 23.

Had a really lovely time at the Szechenyi Thermal Baths; we deliberately went after dark to enjoy the outdoor pools (would reccommend - it's a great atmosphere). The only downside was the cockroaches we were sharing our changing room with. Freaked me out a whole bunch, but just means next time I'll only pay for a locker rather than a cabin to avoid bugs!

There are many different baths in Budapest and we heard Széchenyi was one of the best ones. We actually did a harmony massage here before we did the baths which felt absolutely amazing. We ended up getting one of the private change cabins which are super small but all you need and you can leave all your personal stuff in there as well. There is some large main baths outside and then several smaller baths inside of varying temperatures. We spent most of the time outside in one of the large pools. Make sure you go in the entrance near the circus side as that is where the help desk is where to redeem everything if you booked through another company such as Viator which is what we did. We felt super relaxed and refreshed after our 3 hours here!

Beautiful baths. Took the advice to get there early In morning which paid off as it wasn’t too busy. Stayed til lunchtime as by this time it’s really very busy. It had lots of pools with varying temperatures. The plunge pool takes your breath away so be warned! Took our own towels/cover ups, flip flops and would recommend this as hire charge plus a deposit is quite expensive and looked a very slow process. Really enjoyed the experience. For rainy days or when the weather isn’t so good there’s plenty of indoor pools. Would recommend.

The place was a little tired and shabby. But, it was fun to go from one bath to another and the outside pool in the cold weather was different.

I had high hopes for this place. Check in took forever, water was dirty with floating lint everywhere, smells bad, busy, everyone’s walking around with selfie sticks and taking pictures of everything, definitely a skip for me.

The entrance hides on the back side of the park. Locker and changing space is provided. You only need to bring your suit. Entry is reasonable. There are many extras you can pay for. The pool with the whirl pool in it is the coolest. The lap pool is next warmest and the last pool is the warmest. Be prepared to spend a while. It is usually the busiest of the baths. You can get beer at this one.

We paid for the just entrance, took (smuggled) hotel towels and had the most amazing day. Allow four hours to not feel rushed and visit every pool, day a, plunge pool and buffet, don't stress about not knowing your way around, you will work it out.
