“A few hours well spent”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

During our resent visit to Budapest we visited the baths for half a day. Nice and relaxing after days of sightseeing in the cold. Loads of different temperature pools to try inside and some saunas where you take lumps of ice in with you. But the best part of the day is using the outdoor pool when the outside temperature is just above freezing surreal. You could easily spend the whole day chilling out here.

“great”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

lovely way to spend an afternoon. after reading other reviews slightly concerned about getting lost. my advice is to get a cabin big enough for 2 person, you get a wrist band that tells you which cabin and only you can get into the cabin. the outside pools are lovely. find a map to get your bearings. easiest way is that the building opposite the cabins is where the indoor pools are ( sign says down steps to sauna) go up the steps and then just follow it through to find the variety of different pools. didn't have much interaction with staff so can't really comment. bring something to wear on feet!! metro stops on opposite side to entrance just walk round ( it is the zoo side) also consider buying a ticket from your hotel- think it was 4600 huf for a cabin per person.

“Relaxing afternoon on a rainy day in Budapest ”
Reviewed February 21, 2014 via mobile

We had decided to visit one if the many spas on our 3 night stay in Budapest and took the receptionist advice that szechenyi was nice. We were not disappointed and spent a lovely afternoon trying out all the pools. How surreal being outside in winter with rain beating down in a 38 degree pool. We also had massages in the spa run by the spa though there are others run by private companies upstairs but ours was fine. Tips would be if you have them take flip flops and maybe some loose change to tip masseuse . Definitely don't leave Budapest without a visit !

“Best place to relax”
Reviewed February 21, 2014 via mobile

After a day of walking we decided to relax. We were in Szechenyi on friday and it was not so crowded. The best are the outside pools especially in Winter. In one pool is also the Wild circle river which was funny. Inside you find a lot of other small pools and saunas. Coffee in the bistro is nothing special. It is an old building which is very nice but it is also not equiped with the modern utilities and sometimes need maintance.
