When we arrived a young lady working at the baths explained the process to us. We booked Thai massages (at a fraction of the cost at our hotel). Then changed and went to the baths for an hour or two until massage appointments. Very fun experience. You'll need a shower cap for the middle pool. The two outside pools are different temperatures so choose whichever is more comfortable for you. This is a great place to relax and "people watch".
The public locker area is not pristine but hey, this is a public bath house, not your country club. The massage rooms are also a bit rough but they are clean and the masseuses are skilled at Thai massage.
This is an experience no one should miss in Budapest.
The building is beautiful and the staff very helpful on the day of our visit.

These baths are really good. The main outdoor pools (there are 3) were busy but very relaxing. There are also many indoor pools which vary in size and water temperature. We didn't go for any of the treatments that are available but just meandered from pool to pool.

If you are heading to Budapest even for a couple of days, do pack your swimmies and find a couple of hours to try one out.

I have been there like three times. It was nice, relaxing. The pools, saunas and massage opportunities are amazing. But staffs are rude and do nit willing to help, but the young ones. It has average prices tho.

We expected more from this Budapest gem. Too crowded, so it's difficult to relax in one of the fifteen baths. There is no information in English. When I asked question to a girl from the staff, she was rude and just pointed the direction. This is not like North American spas: visitors speak loudly.

One thing important: don't forget to bring a towel. We thought a towel was included in the entrance fee, like many spas in North America. Nope. If you don't have a towel, you can rent one only if you leave 4000 UHF in deposit and pay 200 UHF for use. They take only cash.

I had read all about the baths and I knew it was must see attraction while in Budapest. The baths are a little rough in places with some paintwork flaking of the walls but nothing major, At first I was very angry as I thought that for the money (4100HUF) I only got to swim in the outdoors baths but soon discovered the indoor baths and saunas, there is something for everyone here with the medicinal pools and thr steam rooms. I loved the 90 Celsius sauna (could only manage 5 minutes!) the menthol steam room and the 16 celsius pool which feels amazing after the heat of the sauna!
Well worth a visit and a must do when in Budapest!
