The baths are a bit pricey, but worth it. The taxis that await outside are the ones that rip you off. They'll quote you rates for 3000 (1800-2000 should be the price to city center) then they'll drive a longer route than necessary. Then, if you don't pay with exact cash they will try to give you foreign currency. Be careful. At the baths, if you are going as a couple, get the cabin. Extra secure and private - a bit cozy.

We came here on a beautiful sunny day and had a fantastic time.

The indoor baths vary between medicinal and normal water pools, and vary in temperature between 18 and 40 degrees celsius. There are also indoor saunas which vary in temperature and type. However, the crowning glory and the three outdoor pools - especially the one with the wave machine in the middle, where you get pounded along by the force of the water. It's a bit of a shock to get into hot water outside when you are conditioned to getting into a cold swimming pool, but it is really good fun.

For 4,100 forints for the day (around £12), this is a must-do in Budapest. Towels can be hired but it is easier (and a lot cheaper) to take your own.

One last thing, it is aimed at an adult audience, so don't come here expecting to bring the kids to a waterpark. There are plenty of outdoor pools for kids in the city (including one on Margaret Island), and the website warns that it is not aimed at children. Best to heed this warning than be disappointed.

Me and my boyfriend went here for a few hours and loved it, the outdoor pools are amazing as are the indoor baths. A day ticket costs 4100 forint which is about 13 or 14 euro. Just bring your own towels and flip flops to wear while your walking around.

My husband and spent approximately 4 hours at the spa. It was a unique experience to be in these pools surrounded by such historical architecture. The pools were varied from active and tepid water for exercising to a cool lap pool to finally a huge hot spa. In the covered area of the building, there were hot spas and cold plunging pools. We tried the massage and it was very good and relaxing. If you get a massage, it is most important that you bring water because none is offered at the end and also get a changing room. We did not think it was overpriced since admission is for the entire day.

I went to the baths today and after an initial bad start due to the female cashier being the most miserable front desk operative ever, there was no smile and the way our credit cards were dismissed before she realised it was the machine not working was annoying. We were passed to the neighbouring male cashier who was very pleasant and helpful but take note both cashiers stated YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO RENT TOWELS AT THE FRONT OFFICE USING A CREDIT CARD. You have to go inside and only cash is accepted.
The baths were really interesting especially the tbermal ones, i would say take a small towel to sit on if you want to go in the sauna ITS HOT. Its handy to have flipflops as stated by other reviewers for the simple reason if the weather is hot the floor tiles outside can cook your feet. It is a must do experience and worth the entrance fee.
