I have been here many times. In Hungary this is a nice attraction with children although a bit expensive for people who lives here. Quite a short visit, about one hour cen be spent here. 1advantage is: it is in a shopping mall.

This was our second visit - the first shortly after it opened, much better back then - , we took our 2,5 year-old daughter. It was way too crowded, a bit boring/poor, and much smellier than it should be to be enjoyable... won't be going again for quite some time. (And ticket prices are exaggerated, not enough value for money, as far as I'm concerned)

Hungary is a landlocked country. If you want to see a real interestin Tropicarium, go to Australia or anywhere else outside of Europe.

I really liked it, in addition to loads of fish and sharks it also had monkeys, gerbils, guinea pigs, spiders, reptiles and so on, so there was a lot to see. Location isn't that good, but you can easily get there from Kosztolányi D. tér by taking a bus 114 when you need to get off at stop called "Lépcsős utca". Tropicarium is situated in Campona shopping centre, which is quite big so you really can't miss it, you can see it from the bus on your left side.

We took the tram to Oxogon and then the number 33 bus out to the massive shopping center campino hop off when after 20 min ish bus spin and follow the locals across the road to the shopping center . You ll see loads of people and kids milling around. Once inside follow sign s for the tropicarium. Use your Buda Card for discount and enjoy its a raelly good aquarium its a little on the small side but the shark tanks are brilliant .Go on a thursday as its feeding time for the sharks.xxxxx Enjoy
