“Magical museum”
Reviewed April 8, 2014

The building is a deco masterpiece in itself with a highly decorated exterior leading you into a calm white interior which has a moorish feel. It forms a great backdrop to a permanent collection of fascinating art and craft objects from early Chinese dynasties to present day Hungary. There were also two fascinating special exhibits. Not to be missed if you have any interest in the arts.

“Interesting, but overpriced”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

Currently museum hosts 4 exhibitions - permanent one, Islamic art (ticket to both for 2000 HUF) and Art Nuveau + Bigot Pavillion (ticket for both for 2000 HUF), you can buy a ticket for all 4 for 3000 HUF. The exhibitions are interesting, with some unique and beautiful objects, but very small, especially Islamic Art. At the same time building itself is amazing and totally worth a visit! Moorish style white arches, stained glass - all very beautiful.

“Nice but overpriced”
Reviewed March 26, 2014 via mobile

The building caught my eye - very beautiful, with bright green tiled roof. The interior is also worth seeing. The collection is not very large - enough for a1-1,5 hour visit, but really enjoyable: exquisite tableware, furniture, clothing from different times. The only drawback is the ticket price - higher than in other bigger museums in Budapest.
Стоит посетить этот приятный музей тому, кто увлекается красивой посудой, мебелью, истоическим костюмом и т.п. Здание музея также очень красивое. Но цена билета почему-то выше, чем в других даже более крупных и современных музеях Будапешта.

“Worth a visit, but a bit overpriced.”
Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

They have two permanent exhibitions at the moment - art nouveau and Islamic art, but to see both you need to buy separate tickets, or one combined at HUF 3000. Both exhibitions are interesting, but small. There is no audio guides, but short English descriptions are provided next to the exhibits.

“Good stuff”
Reviewed March 11, 2014 via mobile

I enjoyed a lot the walk in the museum. At the moment they have two temporal exhibitions and one permanent. The Islamic is so amazing.
The building outside is absolutely awesome. I took some time just to have good pictures.
They have also cloakroom and free wifi.
