Upon entry we received a map and information about the zoo. Well worth the visit; there are so many different animals to see, and the grounds are well maintained and rubbish free. Very enjoyable.

Budapest Zoo is quite big and is a part of a big park and recreation area, but has it's fences and is not free. Animals are arranged to live each in his own house and surroundings. Some of the animals you can see only if you enter the building itself - it's a good solution if you were caught by heavy rain. Some of the buildings smell awful. You get a good map with your tickets. Easy access to wheelchair and fast food is available. Gardens are located next to the animals and most plants/trees carry names for easy learning.

At the equivalent of £7 adult & £6 pensioner it was an inexpensive way to spend 3-4 hours. Lots of animals in different settings, plenty of seating in the shade and food & drink at reasonable prices.o

The Zoo is really nice and Ideal for a day out with children. Even in bad weather there are several indoor displays and catering areas to get away from the rain for long enough e.g. fish, apes, jungle, etc.

The are several rides scattered around the Zoo but there are not that great and not all staffed unless it's a busy period.

Peak of the visit were the feeding of hypos, show with the seals and the sloths walking on trees along the hand rails and over your heads,

This wasn't my first visit to Budapest zoo, but every time I go there I enjoy the whole visit.
The place is very organized, and the animals are in a very good conditions.

They have a small restaurant in the zoo, the food is fine and the prices are very reasonable, and there is a cafe as well, where you can have some snacks or coffee.
