A good place to see the top city ... a place loaded with history, strategic location, well set up, tourists are well placed in the theme with leaflets and guides. It was worth the sighting of this place
Breath-taking view of Budapest. I really didn't want to go at first a little because of the weather and as we were walking its all up hill but once we got there it was really worth it!
You can take transportation but our Hotel was very close to it so we decided to walk there.
This statue is placed on the top of a hill with a fabulous view of the Danube, the numerous bridges and both sides of Budapest. We reached there passed dusk and had a gorgeous view of Budapest at night, with its sparkling lights.
We parked our car at the citadel and started our tour here (all Hop on hop off buses have a station here). This place is great for taking panoramic photos of Budapest.
Once at the top the citadel and monument are good to look at. This is also one of the best places for a view across the city so definitely worth a visit. It's a long way up though so make use of the very good public transport system!
