“Great views”
Reviewed October 5, 2012 via mobile

Walked up from Pest on our first day. Very nice walk from Elizabeth Bridge, past the Gellert statue which from a far is very impressive. The citadella is nothing much to write home about but the Liberty statue is very nice and the views over Pest and Buda are superb from up here. Well worth a walk. Also a nice park round the back with nice flowers in. Definitely worth visiting.

“Incredible View”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Used the hop on/hop off bus to get here as suggested by others and was glad that I did. The views from the Citadel of the city are breathtaking.

The view is amassing. Really recommend you visit this place. The citadel is located on top of a big hill so make sure you have plenty of time to make the climb.

“A nice long walk.”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

I would suggest that you have a hearty breakfast and then walk up to the citadel starting from Liberty Bridge. There are many wonderful views en route and to miss them all by driving would be a great shame. Once there, have a sit down for a while as you'll be worn out from the walk but will be that little bit fitter too!

“Great views overlooking the city”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

Citadella is the highest point in Budpaest and a great place to take pictures. No need to stay there very long. Can jump off and on as part of one of the city bus tours.
