“Highest point of Budapest”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Beautiful views after a great little hike and the children's railway. To get back to civilization, you take the chair lift

“Didn't make to it”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Keep in mind guys that it doesn't work on mondays. Unfortunately I didn't know that. If you go there by bus N 291 it's a last stop.

“There is no hill!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

I think Trip Advisor has the location of this hill badly wrong! We were quite pleased though, as a hill would have seriously inconvenienced us on our way elsewhere.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Take the funicular to the Buda Hills is lots of fun. If you then get off the children train at Janos Hill you can walk up to the look out and admire the views. Lovely and fresh day out

“Best view of Budapest”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We took the Childrens Railroad up to Janos Hill, then you have to walk uphill for about 25 minutes. On arrival we where happy to find that they had a café with cold beer. Then it´s just a few stairs up and you are suddenly at the top of a little mini castle with a magnific view over Budapest and its surrounding.

Coming down from the mountain you should use the cable car. Its a nice way to descend down and to relax after all the uphill walking we did. At the end station there is a little camping that serves good Hungarian food. A nearby bus stop makes it easy to get back to the town.

Expect to spend about six hours for a trip like this.
