“Wonderful park, not shopping!”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

I am not sure why this park is listed under shopping, it is a lovely park with a fairytale castle. It is also home to the agriculture museum and transportation museum. There is a beer garden, restaurant and many benches to relax and enjoy the view. You will find it just past Hero's Square across the bridge. When we visited, there was an international fair, but there were still plenty of nice spots where the park was not overrun by people.

“It's terrible to see this site made a top shopping place (only by Tripadvisor...)”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

The city park is just what the name says: the main CITY PARK. A beautiful, pleasant park, especially since it is literally surrounded by more than half-a-dozen other top Budapest attractions

“Nice walk around”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

City park is vast, you could spend an hour walking around seeing the sights from ducks, bridges, the V castle, or take a rowing boat, there's also a Zoo nearby!

“A Real Pleasure”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

We took the open top (hop on, hop off) bus to City Park and spent the morning in the Thermal Baths - we are so glad we did! Whatever the weather you will luxuriate in the warmth of the pools, enjoy the biggest Jacuzzis anywhere and have a relaxing massage.

It costs 4100 forints each and we think it was well worth it. Just take your swim wear - towels can be hired, lockers are available as part of the deal, changing cubicles are in abundance, hair dryers etc. All in all it is well organised and there is a helpful member of staff in reception to answer any queries before you commit.

We left the baths till our final day - that day when you seem to be hanging around waiting to fly home. We've never returned home so clean!
