One of the main attractions that Budapest has to offer. It’s quite a walk from the city center, but the street from the center to the square is a very nice one as there are many big and classical looking buildings along the way so you’ll have plenty to see. The first part also has lots of shops and cafés in case you fancy stopping for a drink along the way. The statues are nice to see and the square itself offers a starting point for the nearby zoo and ‘castle’ (which reminded me of these classical fairy tale castles).
In case you don’t want to walk to the square and are already doing (or planning to do) the tourist sites, buy a ticket for one of the hop-on/hop-off busses.More
