If you love statues your in the right place with this one. It was lovely to look at and surrounding it is other great buildings including a castle which is a museum and the water spa which looks amazing so take your swimming costume with you!

I walked from Chain Bridge to Heroes' Square, a two, maybe three mile walk. It was a freezing cold day and snowed that evening and I don't regret one step. Certainly a must see on any trip to Budapest.

We had a wander around Heroes Square. Very busy with other people so hard to take photos without anyone in them.
Such an amazing place. Hard to comprehend that it was built so long ago (it was damaged during WW2 so had repairs done)
There was a memorial service there in the days around our visit, so we got to see it with wreaths lain in memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of the people.
The kids enjoyed seeing the Archangel Gabriel statue.

Interesting to know that this place is a tribute to the fallen who fought for the freedom of their country. I was most impressed that their sacrifice allowed me and others the chance to stand their and appreciate what this square represents.
