Lots of stores and restaurants. You can find the same stores in the USA except for a couple. Not inexpensive- and is likely to get more expensive once Hungary joins the EU.

This long road is the opposite one of the Danube River, I firmly believe that it is the main street and the most famous road of the city, along this road in one of the many typical restaurants I've tasted the famous goulash, so good and so cheap.
Obviously this is a pedestrian road so it is pleasant strolling along it, but most of all enjoy the countless shops, coffee shops, restaurants and various monuments.
Really beautiful and interesting way.

Vaci utca sports the usual slew of souvenir shops mixed in with department stores and restaurants. It is clean and will lull you into a false sense of security, but beware the pickpockets & beggars! Lots of hawkers for everything from the Ice Bar to soap samples. Most of the shops are tourist friendly and speak at least a little English!

This shopping area has changed quite some through the years, there used to be all kinds of different little shops but they are gone. Now al you see are the big names, Zara, C&A, H&M, Marks and Spencer. The same stores you have in you hometown.

How can you not fall in love with this part of Budapest. It is Shoping galore. Evrything that you might need, you will find here. Window shopping are just as nice if you dont shop. There are one store that sold music gifts including Vienna world products. Dont wait till you get in Vienna (if that is your next stop) as that is what I did and was very dissapointed to see they dont have have the stuff that this store in Budapest has. Beautiful street. Not to be missed if you visit Budapest!!
