we had been around europe for 2 months and where on our way home when we visited.
It is the most beautiful religious building i have ever seen.
From the outside it is impressive and nicely situated in a quiet square near Andrassy avenue and pedestrian streets.
When you get inside the marble, stain glass windows create a bright beautiful place so different to the grey dark interiors of most cathedrals.
It dose get busy so try to find a quiet corner and take it all in.
Definitely a house of God.

Thank Kelly M

We visited this on our first day in Budapest and it gave as a lovely birds eye view from the Buda side of town. The panoramic view is fantastic, we were lucky to get a clear autumn day, but I'm sure whatever the weather the view would be simply breathtaking!

Around 200huf donation to enter the Basilica. It's an absolutely stunning building - we found a pew and sat down for an hour just taking it all in. Don't miss out if you're in the city, it's well worth having a look

Toured the church as part of a tour group. Lovely church. Went back twice. Once during the day to take elevator to top. Incredible views. Once at night to see church lit up.
