By walking across the Chain Bridge you can see both sides of Budapest which are very enjoyable and see the boats and long ships below. Often you will find venders on the bridge selling their wares - usually art, sometimes other things as well.

We walked from Parliament along the Danube and eventually got to the chain bridge on the way to Castle Hill. The Chain Bridge has tons of photo ops from every direction. The walk from Parliament to Buda Castle via the Chain Bridge takes about 45 minutes so. I highly recommend!

An impressive sight as are all of the bridges across the Danube. Not a short walk over and you have to be aware of cyclists sharing the pedestrian paths. You are separated from the traffic as you are on other bridges.

Our boat docked near this bridge on the Pest side. We took a bus over this bridge to go see Buda and we also could see this bridge quite well from the Pest side. Historic iron suspension bridge with big stone bends. The bridge spans the Danube in function, but is quiet nice to look at and I like the lions that greet you on the bridge from either direction. Very interesting and nice views of the city. I plan to walk across next time, if I get the chance.

Pedestrian-friendly, beautiful day and night, the Chain Bridge is the cherry on the Budapest cake! Nice walk along the Danube, too.

Walked over the bridge to access the old town, very interesting structure, walking is easy and safe. Views up and down the Danube stunning.

A bridge is a bridge is a bridge. Unless you're a civil engineer you probably won't get too excited by this. HOWEVER, you must here the story(ies) about the dedication. While we were in Budapest we heard 3 different ones all about the same event. The title tells you what to look for and I won't ruin it for you. Ask a lot of people about it.

We walked across the bridge in both daylight and dark and could pick up on the significance of its history and the beauty of it. That said although it is iconic once seen it is as you expect- a bridge

Szechenyi Chain Bridge takes you from Pest to Buda. Pedestrian friendly walk over the bridge. Lovely views from it and all lit up at night.
