Easy to walk 5minutes! Some times broken road on bridge.

It's a nice bridge, but really nothing special about it, I think the liberty bridge just a few KM away was much much prettier.

Hungarians have done everything in the last 10 years to brush up their capital- so the Chain Bridge looks as radiant as she did 100 years ago. And the illumination beats everything.
No wonder, that this bridge was in many movies including some Hollywood-pictures.

The bridge itself is beautiful and the views of both Buda and Pest are lovely. It's nice to stand in the middle on a nice day and look at the boats in the water too.

The bridge is located below the very picturesque national gallery and offers some good views when walking across. Similar views are available from other bridges though. The Danube is, of course, enormous and it takes a few minutes to cross the bridge on foot. It's not too far for several professional beggars with their hunched backs and odd socks to make their way to town and walk to the centre of at certain times of day. It's worth walking across but I wouldn't put it at the top of the list of things to see in Budapest.
