The Central Synagogue is the largest I know in east Europe. The architecture is very unique and impressive. The interiors are in very good condition and one can imagine the size and activities of the Jewish community in Budapest prior to WW II. Do not miss the Holocaust memorial monument in the synagogue yard. The downside is the high entrance fees to the synagogue.
