Despite the fact that we couldn't visit the concert hall due to the renovations, I found the tour of this magnificent building to be very interesting and certainly worthwhile. The guide was very pleasant and spoke very clearly at all times. The short aria performance at the end of the tour was a real treat for the eyes as well as the ears.

My wife and I on holiday went to the Opera House and bought tickets for the 4 pm guided tour and mini concert with two opera singers. It was wonderful. The guide was extremely good with excellent English and a good sense of humour. The opera singers were sublime. This is a must visit place for anyone on holiday in Budapest!

Stunning music in a beautiful setting, highlight of a lifetime. Hearing Mozart in a chamber he had played in was awe inspiring, perfect sound,

The outside of the opera house is currently covered in construction! I was extremely devastated as we couldn't fully appreciate the architecture on the surrounding! The inside was gorgeous though and very detailed! Only problem being it's 2,500 ft to enter the actual opera and then hear someone sing! Seems a bit pricey to me!

Tour provided good info on history of the Opera house, followed by an excellent 10 min concert.
The only disappointment was the inability to see the concert hall due to ongoing renovations.
Good value at 9 euros if you book direct, with 3 tours per day
