“Why pass this up? ”
Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

With tickets online from only 500 ft (2.27 US Dollars) you really can't beat this. My seat was not the best but I could still see and experience the music and architecture. It's usually over by 10 so you can easily go out after if you want to. Also, if you really just don't want to foot the bill or sit through an entire performance, go in the building a little before 7 when it first opens. You don't need to show tickets until you get to the theatre inside so you can see the beautiful lobby for free!

“Fantastic performances in a fantastic opera house”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

Went to a ballet performance to an adapted story of Gone With The Wind. An amazing performance with great dancers. The orchestra playing the music was fantastic too. Well, I like both going to opera and ballet. But even if you're not into this kind of cultur, it's a great experience going to such a beautiful opera house. It's also worth to dress up a little bit, maybe start the evening with a nice dinner in a good restaurant and round up with going to the opera. Don't forget to check out the opera bar where you can order drinks e.g. Hungarian champagne.

“Weird and Wonderful”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

Amazing building, both inside and out! The Opera however was very random. It was this weird breakdance musical with everyone opera singing their lines! We actually left half way through - the show itself doesn't come close to the professional work of London's West End.

Still worth every penny to just sit in the most beautiful theatre I have been in and I have been to a fair few!!

“Beautiful Opera House”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

The Opera House was a magnificent structure. So very beautiful with amazing architecture and paintings. I also went to a ballet there in the evening and it was a great experience. One of the best Opera Houses in Europe, and definitely worth a look!

“amazing”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

The biggest scene, the most decors, an excellent accoustic quality, comfortable seats, an air-conditioning "avant la lettre", in short, extraordinary, rich, beautiful, big, golden, worth the visit!
