“amazing”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

The biggest scene, the most decors, an excellent accoustic quality, comfortable seats, an air-conditioning "avant la lettre", in short, extraordinary, rich, beautiful, big, golden, worth the visit!

“Magnificent building”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Even if you don't go to the opera it's worth popping in to see the decor. It's breathtaking and well worth the visit

“Great pricing for concerts”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

The Opera House tour is a little expensive, although very interesting. But the great about this Opera House is they offer quality seats for great concerts and with excellent prices, usually startinf from 500ft per seat.

So it is recommended to do the tour and come back later to catch a concert!

“So cheap, beautiful”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

We were determined to watch whatever we could at the State Opera House after being informed by our tour guide of how cheaply we could buy tickets. We only paid 500HUF and although from these seats we couldn't see a thing, we were happy to move and stand towards the back of the room where we could see perfectly. If you've never seen a ballet before, we would highly recommend going here just because of how inexpensive it was and you couldn't ask for more beautiful interior- a must see building.

“Do the tour and then go to the opera”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

This is a beautiful building and well worth the entrance fee. It is great to hear the stories, and to experience the building. We did the tour and then attended a performance that evening. It would be worth it to get full stage view seats in the upper balcony (which we didn't have). And be sure to read about the opera before you attend since the captions were in Hungarian (obviously).
