This is a lovely building on the hillside of Buda overlooking the River Danube and over to Pest.
From here you get views which is great opportunities for photographers. There are wonderful sculptures too.

A big area to walk and best to go at night for the outside views of the castle and the Pest part of the city when everything is lit up. The bridges can be seen from here and parliament also.
From here there is easy access to the Buda part of the city, with the cobble streets and Mathias Church. There is also further views from the Fishermans Bastion.
I believe that it has a better night view overlooking the Danube than the Fisherman's Bastion. You have to walk till the very end of the passageway (in the direction of the Citadell) in front of the Buda Castle where you will find an amazing view of the 4 bridges, from the Parliament to the Liberty Bridge. I nearly missed out this spot - so don't forget to walk a few extra steps!
Go up to see the castle in the funicular. Great photo opportunity. Fantastic views. Loved this part of the trip. Buildings have beautiful architecture. You must visit. Gifts shops and nice places to eat. Cheaper on this side of Budapest
I'll start from how you get there...if you love walking it's a nice walking distace from pest and then to go up you can take the carts which are a bit pricy (like evey tourist attraction), we took it only one way and when we went down the stairs we discovered how small of a distance it is, so it is possible to go up the stairs easily, there's also public transport just ask at your residance's reception and they will tell you what to take. For the castle itself you can go inside there are museums/exhibitions which I didn't go to so can't review, but you can go around the castle itself, there are beautiful statues and gardens and different constructions.
