We went there on the day after the National holiday and strangely most of the places were closed except the history and archeology museum. There was a cafe open there with a very reluctant woman serving

“Changing of the guard”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

We went up the Funicular for a fee and came up right next to the Palace. We saw the guards guarding the Palace at first which was sobering. We then saw the view of Pest, and it was so beautiful. At around the hour, we saw the changing of the guard, and that was an experience in itself. Just so great to see. We also walked around the ruins nearby that was just amazing to think about what was here 1000 years ago, and then the view of Pest and the rolling hills. Just a wonderful experience.
