Buda Royal Castle
The huge building on the south end of the hill fortress was a royal palace, with different styles and looks in the historical period, starting from the XIV. century. Rebuilt 400 years later, while the largest reconstruction works be carried out after the Second World War. In the day and age there are Historical Museum of Budapest, the Hungarian National Gallery and the National Széchenyi Library (Széchenyi Könyvtár).Buda is perfect "antidote" to speed through the crowd and Pest. Hilly Buda can be seen as sigh of fresh air, especially during the hot summer months. Take advantage of the time to get you to admire the luxurious residential villas, walk trails, rent a bike and take in the view that you can enjoy, explore caves stalagmites or just enjoy your meal in a restaurant surrounded by green nature

This place is really something and the views are to match! In fact the whole of the Buda Hills Area is just something a little special.

It's much more quaint that Pest and although it's got a lot of tourists there it has a nice feel to it.

Really nice. Lovely view. Clean, safe
But the day that we visit the Buda castle was Monday and we couldn't go in the Royal Palace. Anyway we only admire it from outside

The castle buildings are very beautiful and with great views over the city. Changing of the guard takes place on the hour and it is a sight to behold absolutely fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and obviously really old. The views are spectacular and the architecture amazing. Worth to be recognized as a World Heritage site. It's not imposing just magnificent. The statues were artistic as well. Go back into history, walk the cobble stoned streets, enjoy the medieval street scape, have a coffee or beer and enjoy the great view over Danube.
