“the best views of Budapest”

You don't actually have to pay for the ticket to go to the top level, but I always do. YOu could just hang out nearby, near the funicular tramway up from the base of the castle. The Fisherman's bastion is lovely to look at and lovely to look out from. Budapest's entire panorama unfolds below you.

“Sightseeing.”

What a great view from Buda to Peste! Don't miss this if you're visiting the city. Behind, you'll have the Mattias Church, another amazing building. :)

“Fisherman's Bastion - Budapest”

The architecture is beautiful it's and a lovely place to spend some time taking photos and enjoying the views. Stop for a glass of wine at the cafe and listen to some live music. I'm ready to go again!

“Panoramic view...”

Vist this Gothic terrace on the Castle Hill on the Buda side of Budapest. What a spectacular view of the surroundings, the Danube River, Pest, the magnificient city and the rolling hills where you can see some more Renassance parliment buildings. There are local entertainers musicians putting on shows for the visitors. The Fisherman's bastion has seven towers, walk up into one of the towers and absorb the spectular view.

“What a place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2013

Looks fantastic from outside and from below but once you ascend onto the ramparts fantastic the views over the Danube and from Pest towards Buda Unser past. Like walking through a medieval Castle. There are turn styles to pay to go onto the bastion but they were not working when I went and looked as though they have not worked for a while although it would not have been expensive and well worth the cost. When I went they were doing road works to the road leading to the Bastion so walking had to be done uphill but once the work is complete you will be able to get public transport directly to the Bastion then a 50 yard walk. GO IF YOU ARE IN BUDAPEST.
