Fantastic piece of architecture, just not as old as you might expect. It was build at the end of the 19th- beginning 20th century, with neo-romanesque architecture in mind. It's placed near the Matthias church, which gives it the perfect entourage. There is a restaurant and a bar within the towers of the bastion and in the summer you can sit at the terrace of the bastion. Several stories are told about the name of the bastion...One of them is that in older times fishermen used to guard this part of the castle hill. The views are amazing and the building itself is best seen at night, descent from the stairs of the bastion and look up for some amazing pictures as well!
