“Beautiful architecture”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

The Fisherman's Bastion is close to San Mattias and features beautiful views and really neat architecture. We stopped at a small terrace bar for a delicious mulled wine and some of the most gorgeous views, and the sun came out! (on what was an otherwise pretty gray weekend) Definitely worth the trip to the top of the hill to see.

“Spectacular View Of City”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

This was our second time up at Fisherman's Bastion but this time we did it night. We didnt have to pay a entrance fee either! This terrace has several walking paths and stairs. You can see everything from the east side of Pest over to Gellert Hill, not to mention the Danube river. The city lights are beautiful. There is also a magnificent bronze statue of St. Stephen I of Hungry. bring your camera!

The best place to come and take in this beautiful city. Take the funicular railway up and stroll across to the bastian. Don't forget your camera!
