Stayed here for just 1 night on business but spent a couple of days in the function rooms as part of a conference.

Good facilities for meetings.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good, nothing amazing, but all you need for sure.

Location is excellent!

Room was good with a lovely view over the Danube to Buda. Nice desk in the window and everything in the room that you might need.

I'd like to give this hotel 4.5!

I would stay here again and hope to visit the city for pleasure next time.

Room Tip: Go for a river view room on a high floor

My wife and I stayed at this hotel after a Viking River Cruise from Passau to Budapest. The hotel is just across from the Viking docks. The hotel is very good, nice rooms with very good internet connection. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good. We chose a room ( a little be more expensive) with a view of the Chain Bridge and the river. Definitely worth the extra money.

Room Tip: get a room with a view of the bridge and the river. the view is great during the day, and spectacul...

We stayed here for three nights in a party of 8 people. There was initially an issue with the booking (made through a third party) which was eventually resolved after several phone calls and some internet activity. Not at all any fault of Sofitel and when it was resolved we received an upgraded room which had a stunning view of the River and City.
Room was very spacious and clean, with large comfortable beds, stocked minibar, TV, Free Wifi Internet, Iron, Aircon and nice BOSE stereo.

The breakfast was included in our rate and was as good as any hotel breakfast I've had during my travels. Did not eat in the restaurant but had several drinks and it is quite pricey but you are paying no more in this hotel than you would in any city in Europe.

The staff were friendly and professional. We had no real issues apart from our arrival which as I said earlier is not the hotels fault.

Location is ideal for a city break, 5mins from good restaurants, pubs and shopping as well as all the cultural attractions. City Bus tour stops two minutes from hotel which is worth while.

Room Tip: 725 has a stunning view of the city and river

From the moment of arrival to the taxi ride to the Airport this Hotel and its staff delivered on every front. Unbeatable location and pleasant surroundings. Highly reccomended for couples looking for a pleasant trip to the city. A weekday massage during the day is also discounted and the Spa is worth a trip. Breakfast buffet was spot on. Highlight of the Hotel was certainly the very attentive concierge service, this marked out this hotel as better than other international chains on this ocassion. The best recommendation was to take the Etyek city and wine private tours, Tamas the tour guide should be sought out and will provide an excellent host for a very interesting and fun evening. If you want to stay in a good hotel, in a nice room, with excellent service and in a fantastic location then chose this hotel.
