Great location, 10 minuet walk to Danube and 5 minuet walk to main tram stops. Loads of bars and places to eat and much cheaper than near the river.Staff very friendly and helpful.breakfast consisted of two different cereals, two different jams, bread for toast, bread rolls, cheese, meats, pastry's, yogurt, juice, milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Rooms cleaned daily. Towel hire is 2.000 florins refundable on return of towel.there is a display stand near lift that has lots of cards advertising day trips, restraunts etc. many of these cards have discounts offers on them. Anyone over 65 gets free travel on buses, trams, metro, and trains in Budapest. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at back of hostel as street can get a bit noisy with late night drinkers.

Room Tip: Street can get noisy with late night drinkers, ask for room at back of hostel.

From the outside i was not sure what to think. But the inside gave me some reassurance. The staff was friendly at all times whether they were approached early morning or late at night. There are free safe's to use right beside the reception which was very useful. However to use these safes they have to put their key in, you put what you want in. And then they take your room key until you return. I was handed a pack of leaflets when i first arrivied of what things there were in the area and a few maps. There was useful signs all around. I was in a twin room with a friend and it was in good condition. A very comfy bed, the bathroom and bedroom was all clean. However there seemed to be an odd smell lingering but some spray and the fact you get used to it helped a lot. Also a cleaner comes in (if your up in time) and makes the bed/ cleans the room. I was not sure of the area either but there are some very nice restaurants and cocktail bars which are pretty reasonable price wise. It was only a 20/25 minute walk to the main shopping part, where there is no shortage of cafes, shops, restaurants. The budapest bridge was not far past that. There was internet in the reception area, we also found if not a lot of people was in the reception on the internet and your not too high up, the internet would work in the room. There was also a bar, which i did not go to but was told by a few people it was quite nice. Overall i think it is very good value for money, and would go back there again.

Two friends and I stayed at this hostel and loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful and I can't believe how much of a bargain it was! The breakfast was decent too - just cereals, toast, pastries etc no hot food. We stayed in a 4 person room on the top floor and had our own bathroom. The room was basic but clean and they cleaned our bathroom everyday. The hostel is based on the Pest side in a decent location. Would highly recommend for people who want a cheap trip away but good quality accomodation in a good location. Staff were very helpful with booking us trips and helping us find our way around!

My friend and I stayed here during a week in December and could not fault it one bit. We stayed in one of the larger dormitories which was kept warm and the shared bathroom was spotless (multiple toilets and showers meant that we didn't have to wait once).

The staff on the front desk were the most helpful souls that you could ask for. They helped to book a couple of days out for us and also pointed us in the direction of some fantastic food and drink venues.

It is situated in the Jewish quarter of the city with fantastic links to the metro line/tram line and within walking distance of great restaurants, the legendary Ruin Bars (which you all need to visit!), and to be honest not too far from the river front and all of the sightseeing opportunities that this fantastic city has to offer!

Book now and reap the rewards of staying in a wonderful hostel without a crazy expensive price tag!

Very central, just a 15/20 minute walk away from the train station. (Pest side)
Very cheap, about 10/11€ per night, but you get very good conditions. I stayed at an eleven bed room, and it was very comfortable. Both the bathroom and the showers are ok and are inside the room. You get a locker in your room, and the reception has a fee small safes for documents, cash, etc, if you want to use them.
There is no curfew and the reception works 24/7.
The staff speaks very good English.
You have nice wifi in the reception and the common room/ bar.
Would recommend it to anyone who is planning to stay for a few days in Budapest.
