“Good value for money”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Good location, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable, clean and the minibar was like a gift from heaven after long flight. In my next visit i will probably choose this place again.

Stayed here December 2012, basic rooms, twin beds pushed together with single duvet each. However very warm. Staff friendly and very helpful. Within walking distance of central Pest, we even walked to Buda. Breakfast was simple and plentyful - standard continental/eastern european fare.
Wifi available only in the Hotel Lobby.
Hotel offer various tours and entrance fees for sights around Budapest.
All in all very good value for money

King's Hotel had everything we needed. I was under the impression it was a bit closer to the city center, however, this was not a problem.

We got a room for 3 and it was large, clean, quiet and looked like it had been recently renovated. Beds were very comfy.

Staff at reception was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok. There's plenty of restaurants around the hotel.

Tip: If you're staying at least 2 days in Budapest, get the "Hop on Hop off package" which includes boat trips, free sightseeing buses, free Goulash, free beer/wine, etc...This is sold at the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room away from elevator, stairs, etc...We stayed on the 4th floor in a very quie...

We stayed here for a two day break and it was a great hotel. The room was at the back and had and was clean and quiet, it even had a small balcany. The breakfast was selfservice with lovely food. The hotel was in the center near all shops and bus and rail services.
The only thing that was wrong was the crack in the sink and toilet but the room and hotel itself was very clean and friendly. The lift was very small.

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel given the grubby street it was located on and the cheap prices. Inside however I was very pleasantly surprised. Our triple room was huge, with two single and a double bed. It was bright and clean and great value for money. The central location was fab, main sites such as the Elizabeth bridge were in walking distance. The staff were also very helpful. Breakfast was great, hot buffet with a wide selection. Only downside is that wifi is only available on the ground floor, which is a bit silly as there are no rooms on that floor, only the reception?! That aside I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We staid 4 nights in this hotel. The few good things in this hotel - it's location 5-10 minutes walk from center. The room was clean and it was quiet at the nights.
The bad things are:
1. The room was very very tiny. It's small for 1 person and there were 2 of us.
2. The beds are very very old (spring style) and not comfortable.
3. Wi-Fi only in lobby.
4. The breakfast is just horrible. Don't waste you time - just take breakfast outside.
There is a good place near the hotel for breakfast - Spinoza (Dob utca 15).

Room Tip: Try to get room close to lobby for free Wi-Fi and ask for bigger rooms. Don't waste your time...

We staid 2 nights in this hotel, the location is good, close to the train station. The room was clean, and the beds comfortable.Unfortunately they didn't have double beds, just twin beds pushed together. They didn't have internet, gave us many cables to try without find one to work, is better to not advertise what they are not able to provide.

Room Tip: If you need internet you'll not have it here! :-(
