“Lovely hotel = excellent position”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2007

The Kempinski is worthy of it's five stars. The staff are very helpful and the hotel beautifully presented. I loved the big bathroom but felt the room could have been a tiny bit larger. The breakfast is what you would expect in a five star with a good choice. We found a good deal on the net which included breakfast. I believe it costs about £16 if paid for at the hotel. The position of the hotel is perfect. Turn right and you are 2mins from the main metro or turn left and you are 2mins from the main shops and restaurants. Do make sure you stamp your metro/bus ticket. Unsure of the system we were caught the first day with an unstamped ticket and had to pay a fine of £12.50 each. No excuses were accepted. Budapest is an interesting city - still a mixture of old and new and well worth a visit.

Shopping, park, subway, bike rental, food, spas, casinos, EVERYTHING is so close by and the staff at the hotel are wonderful. You can charge subway tickets to your room, they help you make reservations to restaurants, clubs, to and from aiport (dont use thier service very expensive- but they help you book other services)

my husband became ill adn they even got the doctor, medicine everything for us.

bike rental behind the hotel, walk past the Mcdonalds coming from the Le meridian side and you will see an entrance into a building on the right!

This is a very comfortable hotel. Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest is a five star hotel, and it's a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It's very conveniently located, right in the middle of everything and also very close to a metro stop, and therefore an ideal place to stay when exploring the city.

The hotel has an amazing spa. We loved going sightseeing and knowing that we after a full day of walking around the city were coming "home" to whatever spa treatment we had booked that day. They even had a couples room, which makes this a great choice for a romantic city getaway.

The room was large, and the bathroom was much larger and nicer than what you would normally find in Europe.

We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed here for two nights in mid-April. Booked directly with the hotel and got a great deal including an upgrade to a superior double room.

I can't really find fault with the hotel. The only thing stopping me from giving it a full five stars is that it was a more business traveller orientated hotel so didn't have that down to earth feel of a leisure traveller hotel. However, this meant the service we received at all times was top notch.

The location was extremely good and we found some excellent restaurants nearby just round the corner from the square the cathedral sits in.

The pool is very small but again there are several excellent sauna rooms offering a variety of experiences - swedish, steam, etc.

Breakfast was definitely one of the best and most extensive I've experienced.

I booked a 4 nights stay with my significant other from a Virtuoso travel agent. This gave me room upgrade, late check out and free breakfast every morning.
Arrived at the hotel 7 p.m.We had an upgrade to a deluxe room(room 701-7th floor).Room size is 41 sq. meters.Free internet on TV.King size bed(1m80X2m00),very comfortable.Normal TV,not plasma,21".
Excelent breakfast, inclusive with champagne, many kinds of bread, cappuccino, caffe latte, eggs, waffles, pancakes and bananas.(week ends until 11 am).Water of the swimming pool was not warm.
Restaurant Giardino excellent, both the food and the service.
Check out very professional.
If I come back to Budapest I'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Kempinski for 4 nights in early June as part of a month long 9 city trip including Germany, Austria, Budapest and Prague. The hotel was near the top of the 5 star hotels. The hotels location was great, as was everything else. Our room was on the eighth floor with a park view which was great. Request the park view. We went next door to the Le Meridian, and liked the Kempinshi much better. Deserving special mention was the buffet breakfast. Try to get it included in your rate as it is 30 euro per person.
Money saving tip: We stayed Thursday through Sunday nights.
I made 2 reservations, one for Thursday at the regular package rate. Another for the weekend at weekend rate. This saved about 250 euro. Worth a little typing. This was through the Kempinski web site. We liked Budapest better than Prague. Prague has become over run with tourists, and the junk shops that cater to them. We really enjoyed Berlin, don't miss it.

My husband a I have just returned from a two night stay in Budapest at the Kempinski Corvinus Hotel and we made a good choice. Great location, helpful but discrete staff, lovely rooms and the best beds and fluffy duvets ever!! The breakfast is wonderful with all tastes catered for and even champagne available for bucks fizz if you want it. Try to catch afternoon tea or coffee in the reception lounge with live musicians seranading you from the balcony. The bar is atmospheric and again has live music but is expensive. All the restaurants serve a good standard of food and there is a two course lunch with coffee available at a reasonable price. For relaxed dining try the German beer keller with large portions of authentic German food and great beers. We are hard to please as far as hotels are concerned having had more than one bad experience, however on this occassion we had no cause for complaint and would return here again.
