We spent two nights at this lovely city hotel in September. I found the hotel and staff to be of 5 star standard. The location of the hotel is superb with easy access to all the city sights. The Hop on Hop off bus is really good value and a great way to see the city and includes a river cruise. A visit to Budapest would not be complete if you don't visit the market ... don't forget to try the freshly squeezed orange juice from the vendor right at the back of the food court ...it's heaven in a glass. We also enjoyed relaxing in the very nice spa at the hotel - a great way to end the day. I would confidentaly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed for 6 nights in August and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean and comfortable; every evening we would find fresh towels, the bed prepared for the night and individual water bottles (in addition to the morning cleaning). The staff was very polite and helpful and concierge services were exact and useful for additional orientation and dining options.
The hotel has a small fitness and spa center with saunas and a modest swimming pool, but great bathrobes and towels service. We did not book any massages or treatments, but the variety was big and I would recommend trying.
The hotel lobby has a wonderful macaroons shop, free tasting and a confusing variety of tastes, sooooo delicious! Don't miss it.
Budapest is great: romantic, cultural, historic, architectural interests will be definitely answered! I strongly recommend buying the weekly transportation pass, it costs approximately 15 Euro per person and provides unlimited transportation rides on all vehicles types (buses, metro, city trams), even on the Danube! (The transportation company has several lines) and also the connecting bus from and to the airport (more info on their website; you can purchase the pass at their desk at the airport).
Last but not least- the food in Budapest is very good, and ridiculously cheap (oh and also shopping...). The cakes and pastries- I can find no words to describe the variety and taste; even at the off the track ones (not necessarily in the tourists guides- the prices accordingly).

Room Tip: Higher floor has better view

Went to this hotel as was recommended by friends. We did not have breakfast as it was so expensive but we enjoyed dinner in the restaurent. The pool was small but had the jets of water so good to swim and not go anywhere! The Spa area was clean with fresh towels. The rooms were very comfortable with bottled water supplied. We had an issue with our prebooked transport not arriving on our way back to the airport and the hotel sorted us out with a free taxi and said they would sort it out with the company concerned. Excellent service. We would go there again.

We stayed at the Kempinski Budapest for 5 days and we loved every minute of our stay. The ES restaurant was amazing, great food, great staff and great value. The great thing about ES is it is nothing like a hotel restaurant, it feels like a very trendy stand alone restaurant but still has all the class of a five star property. The rest of the hotel was amazing, great spa, stunning rooms, wonderful staff. A great wee macaroon shop in the lobby is not to be missed.
The breakfast is amazing too, what a selection of breads, pastries, cold food, hot food everything you could possibly want for breakfast. The hotel is right in the centre, 5 minutes from the river, the hop on hop off bus stops right outside, the Metro is right outside too.
Just a great place to base yourself in Budapest. Stunning.

Room Tip: What I could see every room is stunning.

I stayed four nights at this hotel, first time visit to Budapest.

Central location close to the castle and the park with the hot springs, everything pretty much walking distance.

Rooms are spacious and elegant, a few more power outlets and the smart shower feature that other Kempinski hotels offer would make them even nicer.

Service, service, service! Can't stress enough how good the service was, from the living room, to the blue fox bar and the spa, the attention far exceeded my expectations. Special thanks to Renata and Eszter at the living room who were amazing and made my stay more enjoyable!

Tried ES restaurant and the food was decent, again, service was great.

All in all it was a great stay but service definitely was the winner.

Keep it up! Definitely staying here next time I'm in town. This stay upped my expectations for any other hotel stays in the future.

I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip and the hotel was fine. It's in a great location just 2 minutes from the city centre and the underground parking was also very useful. The breakfast options were wide ranging and international and the service was very good. Dinner in the rstaurant was also fine and Viktor the restaurant manager was a great host. The bedroom was quiet despite facing the front square and only on the 6th floor and the bathroom was very well equipped and spacious. Just one minor gripe - the gym is quite small and 4 or 5 people in there is all it can take. I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: 6th floor or above to get away from the busy square outside
