Very nice hotel in Budapest. The location is great - in the hearth of everything. Kempinski is located at the Pest-side, wich we reccomend if you're going there for at weekend/holliday. IYou have everything very close to the hotel - the pedestrian street, the Danube, Chain Bridge, Buda-side with the castle, restaurants and sightseeingbuses.
Big room, clean and very well equiped.

Room Tip: Look for offers including breakfast. Unless it`s 28 euros per person.

We spent 5 days exploring Budapest in October 2012. We got this hotel through a great package through Expedia and got a bargain! The décor in the hotel was simple and not over the top. Check in was swift and the concierge (Thomas) was always happy to help make a table reservation and recommend places to try.
Only down point is that there is no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but otherwise it was a lovely home from home!

This was a fabulous / unique New Year experience in which the hotel put on a wonderful celebration for New Year. It was a black tie event, with a fantastic, extravagant buffet with dishes of the region. Wonderful entertainment. Throughly Recommended. Situated next to a wonderful market, virtually in the centre of town. It was a lovely romantic getaway.

We found a special discountd rate for this hotel within an month of our arrival in Budapest and we were so glad we did. The hotel facilities are very nice and the rooms are very comfortable and well equiped. The location is convenient to bus and metro lines as well as the hop-on-off sightseeing buses [wich are the way to see Budapest if you are there for the first time]. If you walk across the Deak Ferenc Park you will find a great selection of reasonable priced restaurants and right behind the hotel, is the beginning of the famous Vaci Ut Street , full of shops and tourist restaurants. Definately a 5-star property that earns it's stars!

Room Tip: Get your rooms on the back of the hotel as the park in the front of the hotel can gt noisy on the we...

I was recommended to stay at the Corvinus by a colleague and its location in the centre of Budapest had a lot to commend it. However, despite very attentive staff and a good standard of decor and comfort, I became a little irritated where a lack of attention to detail let the hotel down. It is not a cheap venue (but not hugely overpriced either) so why is there no brew kit to make tea or coffee in the room? Why is there no trouser press or iron? Why is internet access charged for? Their rivals at the Marriott have finally seen sense and finally stopped charging. Native english speakers also seem to be at a disadvantage when it comes to viewing entertainment: there are a good selection of news channels but few other options without paying an additional fee. Even Japanese guests had a game show! Breakfast choices were good and the staff coped well with what was in danger of becoming a bear garden. All in all the Corvinus is reasonable but it could so easily be 'good' or even 'very good' with a little more attention to detail.

An exceptional hotel exuding grandeur in the centre of Budapest. This hotel could not be in a better position. It is a few minutes walk from the shopping streets of Vaci Utca, Andrassy and Petofi Sandor. Just round the corner is the Deak Ferenc her - the cross-over point of all three City Metro lines and if that is not enough there is a Europcar hire centre next door.

As expected the Kempinski brand offers sheer opulence in this hotel. I have photographs of my room.

We availed of breakfast and it was outstanding.

Room Tip: A high floor above street noise

We picked this hotel from Expedia and don't regret Anything about our choice. The service was without fault and the rooms were of a very good standard. We couldn't access Internet on our iPad though in the room and had to bring it to the reception area to access this. Not a major problem though. The breakfast was expensive however we got it at discount rate if you book it in advance through their e Mail. 21 euro's. if you eat in the spa however you can get a small breakfast for half the price. The pool and sauna are great and lovely to pop to on an eve after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is also very central and is easy to catch any form of transport. Especially the underground which is 5 mins from deak ferenc underground. Prefect! We will definitely stay here again.
