Our family of four was on an Eastern European road trip. Little did I know when I booked hotel victoria that we would have the best view for their national holiday. We had front row, warm seats to an amazing fireworks display. The staff was so very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were large and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked it again for next year!!

Stayed here based on other Trip Advisor recommendations and were not disappointed in any way. Every room faces the river which seems to be busy day and night and you can see the Parliament building almost facing you - splendid when floodlit at night. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast provided an excellent choice with cooked/cold meat and cheese/croissants, cereal, fruit etc.

Would definitely stay here again.

We chose Hotel Victoria because of the reported good views and what other travellers wrote in their reviews. And we weren't disappointed. Very friendly staff, excellent size rooms that were very clean and well equipped. But, the best of all, were the views!

The hotel does not have a restaurant (for lunch or dinner), but has a "boutique-style" breakfast room which could do with a few more tables and chairs as we (or others) had to wait for a free table most days. The hotel offered free tea/coffee in the afternoon in its old music hall and a happy-hour in the evenings.

Excellent value for money. We would definitely stay at Hotel Victoria again and recommend it to others.

All the rooms in this hotel face the Danube River with big picture windows. The rooms are clean and well cared for; everything worked in the room, including the air conditioner. Also, our room had a window that opened, but there was a fair amount of street noise. The breakfast included all the usual things offered in an European breakfast plus individually cooked eggs and bacon or ham. It was delightful. There is an old ballroom that is opened for afternoon tea that is beautiful, and interesting. We would recommend the Victoria as a great place to stay in Budapest, on the Buda side.

Just returned from 5 nights at the Hotel Victoria, which we selected via Trip Advisor and booked via Jet2. Lovely little hotel with stunning views of the Danube. Must be the best view from a hotel window I've ever had. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a noise from the road which started about 5.30 am Budapest evidently starts work early! However a small price to pay. Convenient location, a short walk from the Chain Bridge over to Pest with all its amenities. We had dinner at Carne di Halle twice during our stay, its 200 m down from the Hotel and was really excellent. Breakfast room got a little crowded at times and once we had to wait for a table. Good selection of cereals, breads, meat, cheese with hot options cooked to suit you. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The higher the better view. We were on the 7th floor and it was really outstanding.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night following a riverboat cruise. We had chosen the 3-star option (half the price of the 4-star option) and at first we were not sure what we had gotten into. After check-in, we were escorted outside and around the block to a separate entrance, then through a small courtyard and up a flight of stairs. Once we got to the room, it was fine. The amenities were basic, but clean and comfortable. There were adequate security precautions, despite being in a separate building from the main hotel. The breakfast was outstanding with hot and cold choices. I'm sure the 4-star option was even better with an elevator and rooms facing the Danube.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues, go for the 4-star option so you don't have to take stairs. Otherwi...

Stayed 2 nights prior to a river cruise. Lovely modern room and bathroom with a fantastic panoramic view of the parliament buildings and chain bridge. Within walking distance of all the major attractions located on the castle side (Buda). Lovely buffet breakfast which included eggs, bacon, sausage, etc cooked to order. Bed was large and very comfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room on the 4th floor or higher for the best views.
