We stayed here as we wanted to redeem some A club vouchers.. We found this had very attractive rates and was on heroes square which is on the beautiful avenue though a lil away from the city center..
Its one of the best ibis's we have stayed in budapest .. nice hotel, decent rooms, decent breakfast, nice location ..and yes walking distance from the famous schzenyi baths :)
worth the money or vouchers spent :)
We stayed in Hotel İbis for two nights, the location is great but I can't say the same for the room. The important part of a room is toilet but in İbis my wife couldn't take a shower for 2 nights because of the dirty shower and the curtain.
The location is really close to the metro, which is 5 or 6 stop to the city centre. If you are not looking for comfort and just want to be close to the city centre I would recommend this hotel.
At first we planned to stay at a hostel, but we found a hotel room at one of the most attractive locations in Budapest for the same price. The staff was very pleasant and friendly and responded to every special request of ours, which we had as we were staying with our 9 months old son, for no additional charges.
The room was perfectly cleaned, with the great view on the city park and the zoo. Warmed up perfectly to welcome us from the cold walk from Keleti train station, even before the official check-in time.
If I have to say there is one thing missing, it would be rather small number of TV channels in English and Hungarian. If you're a Spaniard, French or Italian, you will have a good range of TV channels to chose, which means less time to spend in site seeing :)
Great stay at Hösök Ter Ibis in Budapest. beautiful city and nice hotel except breakfast !!!!
Very convenient because on the Földalatti Line. Nice neaighborghod and nice personel.
Room was lovely and spacious. Spotlessly clean. Air conditioned too which was very welcome as the temperature was in the 30's while we were there. About 20 minutes walk from the main train station - probably about 30 minutes to the Danube; but there was a bus stop outside the hotel and a metro just a few minutes walk away. Although the hotel was fully booked one night with a couple of coach parties, it was very quiet in the rooms and corridors. Would definitely stay there again if I returned to Budapest. Ideal place to stay with a family as the zoo and city park (with playground and other attractions) was close by. Our room overlooked the zoo.
