We stayed here for a weekend in January and it was very nice all said. The room was quite small and I think it must have been one of the ones due a refurbishment (we only heard the power tools one morning) but the view over the Danube up to the Citadel was outstanding.

We didn't take breakfast but we did partake of the cake buffet and the happy hour cocktails. The staff are excellent but there is a flaw in the management's organisation in that the same staff who man the bar are also the ones who server the customers sitting in the main lounge area where the cake buffet is served. So in both locations we ended up having to wait 15mins+ for anyone we could order from. Once again it was not the staff's fault - it was plain they were busy in the other area but it meant they had to leave our area unserved.

The location is also excellent with lots of bars, restaurants and shops very close by.

Definitely a nice spot to stay.

Ideally located in Budapest. Newly renovated, within walking distance of the city center and attractions. Near the main Market. The city is renovating the promenade in front of the hotel and along the Danube river and should be finished by summer 2014....great outdoor space for summer.... casual dining and relaxing, good restaurant and bar, helpful staff. Cabs available 24/7 outside - no need to book ahead. Rooms clean and large. I am a trravel agent and would recommend staying in this hotel.

Room Tip: Most rooms seem to have a view of the river....

I stayed here with my family
At year while working in the city for a few weeks.
We were happy with the hotel over all, the rooms are clean and kept, the service is good, the staff are helpful and most speak very good English.
There is a good restaurant in the hotel itself which we ate at a few times and the food was good.
There is also a cafe in the hotel serving food and a cake buffet (which is amazing)
Its right on the river and is in a very handy location for everything pretty much, we were in walking distance of all the things we could need/want including an under and overground tram that is very cheap and gets you everywhere fast.
There is a Starbucks a five minutes walk from the hotel and a supermarket.
Over all we were very happy with the facilities and location.
There is also a gym with a. Nice view of the water.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms here look over the water, but check that before you book. If not, I'd reco...

We arrived early, about 9:30 am, but our room was ready for check-in. We stayed in a Jr. Suite on the 10th floor facing the Danube. The room was spacious, comfortable, well-kept and very quiet. The only thing I did not like about the suite was the very ugly bathroom. It was so plain and industrial-like looking. That said, it was very clean. And, it is good to note that apparently the bathrooms are currently being remodeled. Slippers and thick robes were provided. There is a minibar, water kettle, and Nespresso machine. Even though it was winter, the air conditioning worked well. Turn down was provided, however she only left chocolates and did not replace the towels.

We had access to the Executive Lounge which was great. The complimentary evening Hors d’oevres and adult beverages were very good as was the breakfast choices. Water, sodas, and coffee/tea were always available.

The staff at the front desk and concierge were very nice and helpful. The lobby area is large and attractive. We felt the location is convenient to most everything for walking.

As previously stated, looks like all rooms have at least a partial river view, so if you are on a budget don't bother paying for a river view room.
We were there over the New Year period and the gala dinner in the hotel was superb.
Rooms very nice and they don't mind you using the mini bar for your own stuff if you don't want it filled with hotel fare. There is a great little convenience store on the street behind where you can buy bread, cheese, etc. We ate in the room every morning as the view was so fab and we didn't have to rush down to the restaurant.
However I wouldn't like to live across the river from the hotel having to look at it every day...it is a truly ugly building - probably the ugliest on the entire riverfront!
The daily cake buffet looked superb but we were always too full of the superb street food on returning to the hotel to partake.
