Check-in was fast & smooth, which was a relief, having just endured a long coach ride from Vienna. We stayed 4 nights in a room on the 4th floor, with the most delightful view of the Danube river. Wifi is free in the lobby & in the ground floor restaurants. We made good use of the 24-hour gym, & even got to attend a couple of group classes, w/c were complimentary for hotel guests. Extensive breakfast buffet; but some of the waiters try to rush you by trying to take away your plate, especially when the room starts to fill up.

Room Tip: Check the minibar straightaway. Hotel tried to charge us for items taken by the previous occupant.

Marriott hotel is in a great location on the river front, excellent views and close the shopping area of Budapest. We were fortunate enough to be in Budapest on St.Stephens day, our room faced the river and we had the best view of the fireworks from our windows. Great breakfast, excellent base to visit Budapest.

while the hotel is not that impressive from outside in terms of design; everything chnages whne you are inside; the treatment is great, attention to details, the break taking views. I read so many times on trip advisor that you should stay on 8 or 9th floors; and so I did. well to tell yuou the truth, I owuld have preferred to stay on the 4th and see the Danoube river from my bed and not need to go to the window to see the river. so it depends on what you want and all rooms have a great view. the BREAKFAST is a NO miss; The Omlette is a daily routine that you should not miss. night entertainment at the hotel is weak; but it has close proximity to night clubs, pedestrian area and pubs. if you can afford it, take the executive lounge access; you can access a Terrace with breath taking views, an open bar and snacks all over the hour; sadly service stops at 9:30. so if you plan to spend time at the hotel, get free connectivity and you are with a family or many friends; the 55 euro/night extra are worth it.

Room Tip: any room is good; I reserved 36 rooms for a group and no one complained about the view or rooms. go...

Excellent hotel with fantastic view to the Danube. Centrally located, everything within walking distance. Fantastic breakfast, very large and very clean rooms, polite personnel. It was our first time in Budapest and we couldn't have made a better choice to stay. We had a great time and we will definately stay here again !!!

All rooms have Danube view on Pest side looking at Buda side. Great location for exploring -- historical buildings, restaurants all nearby. Trams take you beyond walking distance. Good staff, modern rooms. Free internet in lobby (but nowhere else, not even the restaurant.). Great gym. Only downside -- internet in room extremely expensive. And buffet breakfast is expensive if not included in room rate.

Andrassy Ave, Vaci Rd., the old Jewish Quarter, the Central Market are all within walking distance. Also, Sunday markets are wonderful, particularly the crafts market at Gozsdu.

Room Tip: All rooms have Danube views.

Typical American-style Marriott. Large rooms and bath. Decor the same as standard in US Marriott hotels. I believe all rooms have a river view. Some views are better than others. We had booked a room with a view of the Chain Bridge and Palace and ended up with a partial view of the palace and no bridge view. It was take it or leave it when we checked in for our one night stay. Hotel was crowded with car racing fans that day. Being a Marriott Rewards member didn't seem to matter. Easy walking distance to Parliment, market and interesting shopping. HOHO buses stop nearby. Plenty of nice riverfront activity. Internet in the room is super expensive. We accidentaly found that you could sit on a bench along the river by the hotel and get free service. Staff all spoke English.

It's a typical Marriott hotel handily located on the Pest side overlooking the Danube & nearby the shopping & eating precincts. Our room on the 4th floor had a great view to the north-east. Breakfast self-serve buffet was generous with a good variety. Room internet was expensive - better to buy a coffee in the coffee shop & get an hour's free wi-fi if security isn't an issue. The local dinner specialities in their Peppers were disappointing but the waiter was excellent. Staff friendliness varied - some lacked smiles. Check-out was 11am so they stored our luggage until our afternoon pickup - oddly, the porter only brought the bags to the door leaving us to take them to our car - not a big deal but indicative that this hotel hasn't quite got the service ethic right.

Room Tip: Ask for a view.
