Beautiful for many reasons... for family walks, cycle rental, jogging, little zoo, outdoor swimming pool .... a nice place to go to escape the city traffic. Excellent for family

A very nice park to walk in, with lots of groomed gardens as well as more wild-nature areas. You can rent a bike to get around the island, but it's worthy of a walk!
There are a couple cafés and outdoor food and beverage carts as well as hotels and hostels with restaurants and pubs.

I particularly enjoyed the amazing open air opera Madame Butterfly at the scene below the water tower. Amazing acoustic, great performance, excellent seating - food and beverage service in the pause and ushers to guide you to your seat. Definitely an amazing opera experience.

Jogging/running tracks around the entire island, right by the water.

Get the number 4 or 6 tram to the tramstop on the Margaret bridge.

We had a pleasant walk round the park and also hired a tricycle made for two which was great fun.

Margaret Island was really like an overgrown park. Lots of lovely trees and gardens, water features and walkways. Very popular with joggers and cyclists.
I wouldn't put the Island as a must do on a Budapest visit.

This is a beautiful park for a leisurely stroll. While there isn't much to do here, you can certainly spend some time here away from the activity of the city.

We rented a tandem bike for an hour, which a fun way to get around the park. A bit pricey for what you get, but it's fun.

The ruins are interesting to read about as you stand on centuries old stone remnants, though not all that picturesque. The re-built church is a beautiful landmark, though we couldn't go in that day, there is a haunting energy around this building, and all its history. Well worth the escape for a few hours of calm, peace and quiet in the park.
