What a lovely little place to pop in for a coffee and a traditional snack...kurtoskalacs The two young girls working there were friendly and both spoke very good English. A lovely atmosphere, warm place to grab a coffee/tea.

We discovered this little coffee house on our first visit to Budapest earlier this year and loved the delicious Kurtoskalacs, especially the almond ones! Just as good last week when we returned to sample more of the same.

A great treat. Watched the baker make these coffee can shaped cakes one at a time. Rich, flaky buttery pastry that is coated with sugar, nuts poppy and with more choices available. Great with expresso coffee. A real treat.

I had seen kurtoskalacs on the Travel Channel prior to visiting Budapest, so I knew I had to try one. We stopped at Molnar's while on the "Taste Hungary" culinary tour (also highly recommended), and shared a fresh, classic (vanilla) kurtoskalacs. Very yummy! Ask for a fresh one out of the oven, it's worth the 5-minute wait. Staff is friendly and helpful, all understand English. Don't miss this while in Budapest. It's a great treat while shopping Vaci utca.
