Description: Welcome to the Caledonia Budapest, a Scottish pub. We are a village pub in the heart of Budapest, where you can have pint or two with your friends - or with your work mates, where you can watch your favourite team playing football, rugby or you name it. We are lucky to have so many nice customers, coming back year after year to experience what the Caledonia is: a cosy, home from home "local". What we offer is a great choice of whisky - truly the largest whisky selection you can find in Budapest. Also we have Belhaven beer on draught, with a selection of Hungarian and Czech lager. We also have a good, tasty kitchen, offering burgers, fish and chips, pies and British style sausages. Yes, we also have a full Scottish Breakfast, and yes, we serve Haggis too. Who is behind the Caledonia? I tell you: it's Patrick McMenamin, a Scottish guy from Edinburgh, and Zsuzsanna Bozo, a Hungarian. And a few more Hungarian staff to serve you. You have more question? Did you like your visit? Would you recommend us to your friends? Please do tell us.

It's 100 degrees outside, but this pub was worth the walk for the delicious cider and cool air conditioning! Very friendly bar tender who we swapped stories about scheming taxi drivers with. At the time of posting, the kitchen is closed for renovations.

Lived in Budapest for a year and there was nowhere better in town to watch sport. Patrick and the staff are really on the ball when it comes to sporting events and they will have as many as 3 different matches on at a time.
A very friendly place, which does a good pint and great food. All staff are top drawer. For any Scots missing home delicacies, you'll find Irn Bru, Belhaven Best, a vast selection (must be around 40) of single malt whiskies, and haggis on the menu.
Book ahead for seating for big sporting events, as not surprisingly it can get fully booked for major events (Champions League final for example).
Only drawback was that in summer it could get extremely hot inside, at that time of year you are more likely to opt for one of the many garden options in the city.
When I return to Budapest, this will be one of the first ports of call.

Without a doubt this is now the best sports bar in Budapest due to the other major players ie champs and jack Doyle's going down hill fast. Good open Pub showing all the games which others don't show very reasonable prices and fresh cooked food. I like when you can look into the kitchen and see what's going on while they prepare the food. Extra good assortment of Beers and spirits .

This is one of my favorite places in Budapest. The staff is handful and polite, the choice is great (from a Scottish Belhaven to a tasty cider) for a drink, and also for a food (try some of the burgers).
I would really recommend this place.
