“Excellent Location and Value for Money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

We stayed here for three nights and found the location and hotel brilliant. The value for money was excellent.

We got a double room on the 5th floor over looking liberty bridge (I believe), which was beautifully lit up at night time.

The staff were very friendly and helped whenever we had questions. We had a dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and averagely priced. At breakfast there was a good selection of cheese, bread, cereals, hams, yogurts, cooked food and you could ask if you wanted anything special i.e. omelet.

The room was an average size, with a clean and tidy bathroom. Some of the finish’s were not perfect but nothing to complain about. We had free internet on an overly complicated TV/computer, (definitely a manual reader to get working). The internet came in helpful as the airport was having problems and we needed to check on the situation, so this added extra was great.

The walls are a little thin, so you could hear people next door, however when we stayed the other guests were not overly noisy so this was not a problem.

The location of the hotel was excellent and it was easy to walk to the many sites from the hotel (we never used any transport while we were in the city). Just over the road is the Market hall, it’s huge and definitely worth popping in. Just down the road is Kalvin ter metro, from here you can easily get the tube to Kobanya-Kispest and the 200E bus to the airport, which was easy to do and cost about 2 pounds each.

I would definitely say at this hotel and again and recommend to family.

A great little find £42 including breakfast, cost you more to stay in a Travelodge! The little pool was a real bonus and kept fastidiously clean.
The only small negative the rooms at the back are a little dark as they overlook the wall of the neighbouring property, but we didn't come to Budapest to look out of a hotel room window so no harm done.
All in all very pleased, highly recommended

Stayed 1-3 Dec12. Hotel is 1st class. Staff are very friendly, rooms are wonderful, showers are fab. We had a superior room which had robes, toiletries, free wifi, free use of pool (although on our stay this was being filtered so was closed).
Breakfast was great, as was evening meal. If we had to find a negative, it would be that there are no hooks in the bathroom where you could hang your clothes whilst showering, or indeed hang your robe when not in use. We would definitely stay again though.

Room Tip: All rooms were quiet so I think any would be fine.

We were delighted with this hotel on a recent visit to Budapest. Location was perfect, close to the river, market and pedestrianised street in the Pest side of the Danube. With metro and tram stops nearby it was easy to get to the main tourist sites, walking tours etc. Although the exterior looked unassuming, the interior was very stylish. The rooms were small, but spotless and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent. As well as a comprehensive continental breakfast, you could order omelettes, french toast etc. we also tried the restaurant for dinner, where the friendly and helpful staff made suggestions on local dishes to try. The staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful.

A great little hotel on So Utca (Opposite the Central Market Hall). The public area are always clean and tidy and the breakfast is perfect- a buffet offering pastires/cereals/meats/salad/bread as well as hot and cold drinks. There are usually 3 hot things per day (normally sausages/scrambled egg and bacon. They are also happy to prepare fresh ommelettes/fried eggs from the kitchen. The 'pool' is very small, only really fits one person, but you can swim in it with the use of the jets from the front of the pool, there is also a small jacuzzi on the end big enough for a couple to sit. I cant comment on the food in the restuarant as we didnt use it, but the prices seemed reasonable (guests also get discount). the rooms are clean and large enough, bed sheets changed daily and the bathroom kept VERY clean and tidy. the only fault i could find was the shower drained away VERY slowly, but this is hardly a huge problem.........all the staff i encountered seemed very friendly and courteous. Perfect position for exploring the city

The breakfast was excellent. Ate at the restaurant one night for dinner and it was excellent value, even before the 30% discount given to hotel guests.
The rooms were warm and comfortable and the bath had a spa which was great for relaxing after a cold day out wandering the city. Nice place to stay.

Stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights in November 2012 and enjoyed every minute. Great location at the end of Vaci Utca ( one of the main pedestrianised streets in Budapest ) Great service from all the Hotel staff , bags taken up to your room , very knowledgable/helpful desk staff , great price , lovely wellness centre including sauna and jacuzzi (take some slippers with you ) , breakfast cooked to order if you don't want continental. Had a lovely meal in the reasonably priced Hotel Restaurant , about £38 for two of us including drinks and two courses each. Overall a fantastic Hotel.

Room Tip: Would ask for a room with a street view or you just get to look at a wall in the courtyard.
