The hotel has done a magnificent job of restoring and renovating this beautiful building. We had a good experience in the hotel. Our room was very nice, unusual in decor and fitted with every comfort. We ate in the restaurant which was very good. However, it was the help by everyone at reception, in particular Bianka, who made our stay most comfortable. Her cheerfully given tips and insights helped us get the most out our vist and dig a little deeper into the city.

We just spent 4 nights at the Buddha Bar hotel Budapest and it was wonderful. It's true the lighting is atmospheric but the hotel is great and in a fabulous location close to the Danube. Would recommend this hotel for a truly memorable holiday.

I highly recommend this hotel, since I created a Tripadvisor account solely to recommend this hotel.

Arrived at the hotel which is located perfectly at the corner of Vaci st and right in the center of all the shopping and sight seeing in Budapest. The service was phenomenal from the moment we arrived. The staff recommended excellent restaurants (Evidens Bistro, Kherion) and were extremely friendly. They also were very accommodating by arranging reservations and booking Spa treatments and with directions and navigating. The steam room within the spa facilities was very hot, which is quite nice compared to others that don't generate enough heat. Having access to all the Buddha bar music was also a plus!

The room was very clean and the bathroom facilities were first-class. The high tech toilet with bidet and rain shower and great finishing in the room was also a pleasant surprise. All in all the hotel went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of spectacular.

Beautiful hotel. You felt special from the minute you arrived. Excellent well appointed rooms, bars and restaurants.

Breakfast a little pricey but I am not a breakfast person anyhow.

Couldn't beat the location.

Great room, nice and clean, Great breakfast and very nice touch with the complimentary warm dishes. Very helpfull staff :)
But the price for renting a movie via their system is highwayrobbery, its the same price as buying the film on dvd back home. But we did it anyway so i cant complain to the hotel really.
Other thing is the minibar, its very well stocked actually one of the best id ever seen but again the prices could just be a little lower and then i would buy from it and maybe not walk across the street and buy from the shop.
Oh and the espresso in their bar, when it cost the same as in norway....its to pricy :)

Overall though its a 5 star hotel and the service is 5 star

Room Tip: Superior is more then good enough :)

Beautiful hotel, well decorated, superb amenities, but falling a bit short on service and ambiance compared to its brother in Prague.

The rooms are great but not maintained perfectly and checked. The shower in the bath was throwing water in all directions leaving the toilet completely wet after use.

The safe battery cover was missing so batteries would fall off.

The breakfast at Prague was far superior, with much better choices and friendlier service. One particular waited here looked as if he was doing the customers a favour by serving.

Room Tip: I think all their rooms are quiet, the view from the rooms is nothing great as its town centre.

My wife subscribes to secret escapes and is constantly trawling her emails for that special bargain break and a few months ago she found this - Buddha Bar Hotel, Budapest, 3 nights. What a find!
A week before our travel (21-24 March) the hotel emailed to welcome us and offer a number of 'options' such as airport transfer etc. We took the taxi transfer option which we know was more expensive than picking one up at the airport but we like certain things in place when on holiday.
Hotel check-in was very relaxed and informative. The bellboy took us to our room and explained its facilities, which included a superbly sized king bed, a huge flatscreen TV and probably the best bathroom we have ever seen in a hotel room, with an enormous square bath, a rainfall shower and... an amazing remote controlled toilet complete with heated seat and a toilet bowl that illuminates at night. If I am being honest we would normally find something like this somewhat crass but once we got over the shock, we found it an amazing gadget and it seemed a perfect fit for the hotel.
Our room was on a high floor (5th) and at the end which made it extremely quiet and private - perfect for us. There were a couple of issues with the room (noisy fridge and broken curtain rail) which we reported the next morning and they were fixed without any hesitation. Our room had a coffee maker but no Kettle/Tea/Milk. these can be requested, so we did, and they came each day.
on check-out day, our flight was an early evening one so we hours to kill. We wanted to keep the room on so asked the concierge who checked and said yes, not a problem, how long for? It is 10euros per hour. None of this "not sure sir... it depends on.... we are very busy... I can only let you have it for...
We loved Budapest. It has great history, great buildings, great atmosphere and we felt totally safe.
We loved the Buddha Bar Hotel. It was the perfect 'secret escape' but they really should be letting everyone in on the secret. They deserve custom and we will certainly return!

Room Tip: Choose a high floor if possible (4th or 5th) as the hotel is city center. Also try to get a room on...
