Was our 1st meal in Budapest and descant as good as the others restaurants we went too, wine and service was good though, wife loved her goose liver, wasn't keen on my goulash with blue pasta

Nice authentic Hungarian atmosphere. The food and service were first class. The wine on offer was top quality and not overpriced. The gypsy ensemble were very talented and wonderful to listen to. They play requests, so have something in mind for them to play. They like a challenge and played a Beatles song for us!
Have a liqueur after your meal and see how it is poured. You might be surprised!

Excellent food, friendly service really enjoyed everything about the restaurant all expectations were met with such authentic Hungarian food, our waiter was super nice, and made it a whole lot better we are a family of 7 2 adults 4 kids 1 baby and they were super flexible and made sure we were accommodated accordingly. Great experience

We have spend there the first dinner in Budapest, the have tested the best goulash of this long weekend: very stiff and testy. The main course of meat was excellent too. The usual violinist group plays all the evening at the guest request, and finally, as usual, they try to sell you their music (and they have menage it with as indeed); they do it in a nice way without being "aggressive". Finally a very nice evening.

Our experience in Budapest was that the people is not exactly warm and friendly to the tourist! It must be a cultural thing, but we were getting a bit put off by the local's attitudes, which borders at being rude!
ALL the staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly and helpful! We had a wonderful dinner in this small and lovely place being treated like human being again!!!
If you are in the city center, do give this place a try!!
