Our experience in Budapest was that the people is not exactly warm and friendly to the tourist! It must be a cultural thing, but we were getting a bit put off by the local's attitudes, which borders at being rude!
ALL the staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly and helpful! We had a wonderful dinner in this small and lovely place being treated like human being again!!!
If you are in the city center, do give this place a try!!

We had dinner at this restaurant the last night we were in Budapest. During our trip, we found many of the people in the service industry in Budapest to be rude and unaccommodating. Quite frankly, on our last day there we were at a point where we had enough of the angry, bitter people and were ready to get out of Budapest. Then, we came across this restaurant while we were out exploring the city. The staff was so kind and helpful when we stopped by to make a reservation that it was the perfect way to end our trip to Budapest. The restaurant itself is quaint and charming, and the food that we had was excellent. We had eight people in our group, and everyone really enjoyed their food and the atmosphere. The staff spoke perfect English and taught us some basic Hungarian phrases. They did not have music playing while we ate dinner, but they did have music playing when we stopped by to make a reservation which really added to the charming atmosphere. This was one of our favorite meals in Budapest.

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant .
Lots of history with this building in Central Pest, just few minutes from the Elizabeth bridge in Pest.
The service was excellent, they really treat you perfectly.
Had the goulash soup and French fries nod they were great.
The lamb steak with mustard sauce and steak fries was excellent.
The goulash plate with dumplings had an excellent flavor.
After running all day long it was great to be able to find a quiet place with excellent Hungarian food and superb service.

My sons and I ate here because our tour guide had recommended it as the best place in the center to eat authentic Hungarian goulash. Well, the goulash tasted good, but not unique, and nowhere as enjoyable as the goulash I've eaten at my relatives' homes. My chicken breast was mediocre. Unfortunately, this was the most expensive restaurant bill during our visit in Budapest, but by far, the least satisfying.
