“Good as the other one”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Last year we were in the neighborhood restaurant, and it was awesome. That time the doorman mentioned us that the other restaurant is in the same hands. We did right when we came here. Our food was excellent just like the service. The knuckle pork what i ate was tender and juicy and the mushroom soup was perfect. The strudels was also nice, maybe it could be more crispy, but its ok. Thank you for everything, see you next year.

“Bad”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Unfortunately it was bad experience, below average or rather poor food and service, wouldnt recommend it and certainly will not go back. It was £25 per head for one glass of wine, very bad soup and unchewable meat, we didnt get bread, couldnt wait to leave.

“Great Hungarian food in a historic building ”
Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

Loved the interior, felt like we were transported back in time to an early 20th century upperclass restaurant. We were seated in a small stall, which gave a nice feeling of privacy. We only had a single course dinner with a glass of wine, both the food and wine were very good, would like to return for a full three course dinner!

“Awesome atmosphere”
Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

A lucky find whist wandering aimlessly on our first evening in Budapest. Service and food were great, we both had the beef goulash which was as good as either of us had ever had. The live gypsy music was the real outstanding point of the evening. The musicians were phenomenal and gave the restaurant a fantastic atmosphere making the meal a memorable experience. Recommend if you get the chance.

“Excellent”
Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

It doesn't get better than this. Just another old building from the outside but once you enter ... this is the reason why you should travel. What a wonderful place. Outstanding quality of food and service. A hungarian restaurant with hungarian dishes served by hungarians. Perfect. A highly recommended place.
