This is a WW2 era hospital that is in the rocky runnels that run under Buda side of Budapest. Nice museum and entrance was easy on the pocket. Expect to spend an hour here.

Great tour and very interesting learning the history. Tour guide was a little scripted but that didn't ruin it. Well worth a visit

My wife and I went round this place together as part of an organised tour so I did not look at how much it was to enter but it was well worth it.
Before the tour itself at reception there is a small shop where you can buy gas masks and Hungarian army helmets, sadly my wife gave me the look that says don’t you dare!
The tour starts with a short film narrated in Hungarian but with sub titles. Following the film our guide, speaking perfect English took us through the hospital explaining everything as we went.
Within the site they use over 70 wax work figures. Frequently on such occasions I have found the figures hardly look human but these are brilliant, they have great expressions.
As the tour progresses you move into the nuclear part and the Cold War era. Then concluding with the affects of nuclear explosions. This is done in a way really to get the visitor to understand how lucky we were that we did not move in that direction.
The affects part is done in a good way that you look through holes in boards rather than openly on display so you do not have to look, or in the case of my 5’ tall wife you cannot reach the height of the hole.

What a great tour led by the excellent Kinga who made it both interesting and informative. The hour-long tour covered the use of the place as a hospital in war time as well as a nuclear bunker in 'peace' time.
