Our second night in Budapest, and still not a goulash in sight. This place was a bit out of the way, and nothing else in the neighbourhood, but it was well worth the climb from the river.
It was very quiet the night we went, with just two other tables occupied. This usually sets off alarm bells, but I needn't have worried. Food and service was excellent; the duck and pork we had as mains being among the best we'd had anywhere. Prior to reaching Budapest I'd had the impression that the food was "heavy", but this was light and full of flavour. For those looking to go past the standard tourist menu offerings this place would be an excellent choice.
